Iraq

Our company has built almost 900 km of 33 kV overhead power lines in Iraq, as well as turnkey projects for 400 kV double-circuit lines.

Several 132 kV lines were also completed in this country, crossing mountainous areas, plains, pastures, cultivated land, desert and irrigated areas, covering the entire country.

Among the main features are the crossings of the Tigris and Euphrates, with spans of between 500 and 800 m and towers over 100 m tall. The line foundations were built from precast elements and precast piles.

A 220 kV double-circuit overhead power line (170 km) with two conductors per phase was also built. Consultancy was provided by an Egyptian company, and the project complied with the requirements of British standards and of the International Electrotechnical Commission.
