400 kV OHL Cernavodă - Stâlpu
The 400 kV Cernavodă – Stâlpu Overhead Power Line energy infrastructure objective is a project of common interest at European level, co-financed through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), with a total value of approximately 75 million euros, of which 27 million euros represents non-reimbursable European funding.
The internal line between Cernavodă and Stâlpu helps to strengthen the transversal section between the western coast of the Black Sea (eastern Romania) and the rest of the European system, while also contributing to reinforcing the electricity transmission grid in Romania, to increasing the interconnection capacity between Romania and Bulgaria, and to integrating wind energy from the Dobrogea area.
