400 kV OHL Mintia - Arad
The 400 kV Mintia Arad OHL has a total length of 134.6 km (markers 1-402) belonging to CN Transelectrica – ST Timișoara.
The line is single circuit on the 11-401 section and double circuit on the 1-11 and 401-402 sections.
The works required to build the new 400 kV single-circuit OHL sector consisted of:
- Handover and acceptance of the OHL tower sites
- Drawing up the execution schedule
- Construction of the access roads
- Foundation works
- Execution of the boreholes
- Dismantling and reinstallation of the active and earth conductors
- Dismantling of the suspension insulator strings
- Equipping the new towers with triple tension insulator strings made of composite material
- Restoration of the optical fibre network
- Installation of the earthing electrodes for frequent traffic at the newly mounted towers
