400 kV OHL SC LESCKOVAC-BORDER FYROM
The project was financed by the European Agency for Reconstruction with the aim of improving the power system in southern Serbia, which was overloaded by up to 15%, as well as creating an interconnection point with the transmission networks of Macedonia and Greece.
Within the project, ELM Electromontaj Cluj built 100 km of line, the works consisting of: foundation execution, tower assembly and erection, insulation installation, installation of live and earth conductors, and optical-fibre installation.
An average of 7 construction crews took part in carrying out the project, performing the clearing, foundation, tower-erection, painting and line-equipping works.
The 400 kV single-circuit line runs for 73 km up to the border with Macedonia, comprising 225 towers and fitted with 2 conductors per phase, ACSR 490/65 mm2.
