Modernization of the 220/110 kV TIHĂU substation

The teams of ELM Electromontaj Cluj took part in the modernization works of the Tihău substation, whose beneficiary is Transelectrica. The 220/110 kV substation is located in the village of Tihău, near Jibou, Sălaj county, and carries out the transit of the power required by consumers in the Sălaj, Baia Mare and Satu Mare areas.

As part of the project, the existing primary equipment was replaced with new equipment.

The works - construction, installation of primary equipment, secondary circuits, lighting circuits and outdoor sockets - were of high complexity, and their execution opted for the reuse and adaptation of the existing foundations in order to position the new equipment.

The project was completed on time, even though the works were suspended for two months due to problems in the national power system caused by extreme weather phenomena.
