The EnergoBit - ELM Electromontaj Cluj team took part in the successful completion of the project „Modernisation of the 220/110kV TIHĂU substation„, a project delivered in a consortium with SIEMENS, with Transelectrica as the beneficiary.
The 220/110kV substation is located in the village of Tihău, near Jibou, in Sălaj County, and handles the transfer of the power required by consumers in the Sălaj, Baia Mare and Satu Mare areas.
Under this project, the existing primary equipment was replaced with new equipment. The works - civil construction, installation of primary equipment, secondary circuits, lighting circuits and outdoor sockets - were highly complex, and it was decided to reuse and adapt the existing foundations in order to accommodate the new equipment.
The project was completed on schedule, even though the works were suspended for two months due to problems in the national power system caused by extreme weather events.
